Shielding eyewear

With the current pandemic, the trend of oversized protective eyewear is taking an important place in this list. People, aware of the importance of covering their face, will make this new reality a fashion. The more daring will opt for shield sunglasses with colored highlights, while the more sober will stay in monochrome shades like this model from Tommy Hilfiger. In both cases, these frames both casual and stylish, will enhance your look.

Small glasses

From one extreme to the other. Matrix style sunglasses are back in force this summer, a sign of the influence of the 90s fashion trend that is taking off this season. It will continue throughout 2021. For a sophisticated and chic look, the small sunglasses are all indicated.

The thick frame

A sophisticated, yet bold trend that features a thick frame with wide, chunky temples. This trend doesn’t necessarily mean that the shape of the frame itself has to be large, the focus will be on the temple.

The minimalist

Consumers, increasingly aware of their ecological footprint, are looking for comfortable and durable products. Minimalism, accompanied by futuristic touches, is a key seasonal trend for spring/summer 2021 that is sure to pass through fashions.

Oversized retro

Oversized retro shapes and absent nose bridges are also new for the season. Slim designs use an angular look drawing on the hexagon shape trend. Retro frames will take on exaggerated proportions, taking inspiration from the 70s.

Round glasses

A staple for a few years now, the vintage rounded profile will remain a must-have for sunglasses this summer, whether it’s small or oversized!

The cat eye frame

The cat eye shape is still a key silhouette, but will become less angular and exaggerated than in previous seasons. Monochromatic acetate is still the key color for this eyewear frame, though.

To elevate the style of your sunglasses, consider opting for a translucent or skin tone frame, or with a tortoiseshell finish for a vintage effect. The acetate and metal combo is also one of this season’s top trends to bet on.
