In Quebec, the average cost of an eye exam ranges between $90 and $175, depending on the tests involved. An examination at our clinic costs $138 and includes our advanced tests.<\/p>\n

For patients 18 and under or 65 and over, basic exams are covered by RAMQ. Certain tests, such as OCT and retinal photography, are available at an additional cost.<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Is it true that glasses and contact lenses weaken your eyesight?<\/h3>\n

No. Glasses improve visual acuity (the sharpness of the image projected onto the retina) without affecting your eye health or the nature of your vision problem (myopia, presbyopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, etc.). Glasses correct your vision while you wear them; they don\u2019t, however, make your eyes \u201clazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the flip side, specialized glasses for myopia control<\/a> have been shown to have positive effects on the condition\u2019s progression.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Despite what you might have heard, vision disorders cannot be treated, corrected or improved by natural products, vitamins or exercises.
